If you have done any web design or development in the past few years then you know about @font-face and how has completely changed the way we design websites. It basically doesn’t get any easier than @font-face when it comes to implementing your favorite fonts into your web design, WordPress theme or any other CSS web project. However, that’s not to say you won’t run into small issues from time to time. I’ve noticed when scouring the internet for documentation on @font-face issues, if your issue is not of the few most common, it can be extremely difficult to come upon a resolution.
That’s where the guys at Font Squirrel come in. With their @font-face generator, you don’t have to deal with any of the headaches of locating each font format, cross-browser compatibility or CSS issues. You simply upload a font in any of the 5 most common formats:
- TrueType
- OpenType (CFF)
- EOT
- SVG
- WOFF
The generator takes care of the rest. After uploading your font and checking the legality box, you can download the kit which contains your fonts (in all of the above mentioned formats), a demo.html file that allows you to view how the font displays in your browser, and a .css style sheet with three different CSS styles. I recommend the default, the popular Bulletproof style, to which you can simply copy and paste into your default style sheet.
Sounds like a really useful site. I believe a designer I recently worked with used it to get fonts to me that were compatible on both his Mac and my PC.

Thank goodness for the E-cig!!! I have smoked regular cigarettes for 30 years and have never been able to quit. I have tried everything on the market: Chantex, nicotene patches, inhalers everything- without any luck. I did quit for 2 months before with patches but with e-cigs, I have been quit for 4 months with no interest in going back! I just hope the FDA leaves us alone because I use them as a replacement and they have to be alot better to utilize than regular cigarettes-health wise!!
